When I was a child, I wanted to grow up to be a priest. Religion is one of those childish ways I have put aside. Spiritually, I am a non-participant. I don't think about it anymore.
When I was a child, I was a Republican. The Republican party left me with the 2000 Presidential primary, and hasn't really tried to get me back. I still think about politics, but it has been a long time since I had any hope.
For a time, Pierre-Simon Laplace was my hero.
I loved PBS, until I went to work for them.
I hated computer programming, until I became a developer.
Practicality first, style is important, but comes later.
I love the concept in PERL books that the ideal programmer is a lazy programmer.
I used to try to be lazy, but never was any good at it. By the time I finish one project I'm already working on the next three.
